Day Two, Mon 2003-10-27
- dcp_1221.jpg More smoke in the air locally

Day Three, Tue 2003-10-28
- dcp_1232.jpg Much smokier; smells like a day-old campfire
- dcp_1233.jpg Getting smokier
- dcp_1234.jpg And smokier. The bluish sky that was
visible directly overhead is gone, so it
must be pretty thick.
- dcp_1235.jpg The sky is dark brownish orange; this picture
doesn't show the color well. The foreground
plants appear bright because it's so dark
outside that my automatic flash went off.
- dcp_1236.jpg The Sun, still visible. I held my breath
while taking some of these shots.
- dcp_1237.jpg
Day Four, Wed 2003-10-29
- dcp_1238.jpg Blue skies at last!
- dcp_1239.jpg
- dcp_1240.jpg This was one of about half a dozen
helicopters that flew over, at least one
with Navy markings. I later learned that
they dropped water on hotspots at Miramar
Road and I-15, about 5 miles from our house.

Day Six, Fri 2003-10-31
- dcp_1244.jpg Clouds. Good old-fashioned clouds, made
of good old-fashioned water vapor.
Ahhh! (We even got some rain.)
Day Seven, Sat 2003-11-01
- dcp_1245.jpg
- dcp_1247.jpg And a beautiful sunset (not related to the
smoke as far as I know).
